The AMS Eliminator 700 Series Fume Hood is built for laboratories that work with perchloric acid and other highly reactive chemicals. It uses the same aerodynamic design found in the 100 Series, including a 45-degree fascia and a flush-mounted radiused airfoil. Together, these features guide air smoothly beneath the sash and help reduce turbulence. This stable airflow supports safer handling during demanding procedures.

The 700 Series adds several features that meet the specific needs of perchloric acid work. Its interior and integral work surface are formed from one piece of 316 stainless steel. This construction improves chemical resistance and prevents absorption. A polished #4 finish helps operators clean the surface quickly and thoroughly. The airfoil and sash are also stainless steel, which increases durability and simplifies decontamination.

A built-in trough captures runoff during washdown procedures. The trough slopes for proper drainage, and a manual washdown system rinses the areas behind the baffles and around the duct collar. These features reduce the chance of residue buildup, which is essential when handling perchloric acid.

The hood includes full-frame construction, LED lighting, a shaft-driven sash, and a louvered front panel that maintains bypass airflow. A full-length finger lift allows smooth sash movement. The 700 Series connects to standard ductwork through a 10-inch stainless-steel collar and comes in five widths—36″, 48″, 60″, 72″, and 96″.

Labs can expand the system with accessories such as alarms, sash stops, push-button sash controls, chain-and-sprocket drives, lattice assemblies, blowers, base cabinets, and ceiling enclosures.
