The AMS Eliminator 500 Series Fume Hood delivers safe containment while meeting ADA dimensional requirements. It uses a 45-degree fascia and a flush-mounted radiused airfoil that directs airflow smoothly beneath the sash. As a result, turbulence stays low and face velocity remains stable. The airfoil pivots upward for easy cleaning, which is especially useful during spill response or maintenance.
Below the airfoil, a painted steel containment trough catches accidental spills that may flow over the dished work surface. This feature enhances lab safety and supports cleanup procedures. The trough assembly is built from chemical-resistant 16-gauge cold-rolled steel for durability and long-term reliability.
The 500 Series includes full-frame construction, a shaft-driven sash system, and a U.L.-listed poly resin liner. LED lighting provides bright visibility across the entire workspace, and a full-length finger lift helps operators move the sash smoothly. Its knock-down design simplifies installation, especially in locations with tight corridors or doorways. Additionally, a louvered front panel supports bypass airflow to maintain even performance at different sash heights.
Available widths include 48″, 60″, 72″, and 96″. These options give labs flexibility in selecting the right size. The unit connects to standard ductwork through a 10-inch stainless-steel collar. Labs can integrate the hood into CV or VAV ventilation systems. ADA knee-space base cabinets and epoxy tops are also available, providing ergonomic and accessible workspace configurations.
The hood accepts accessories such as stainless-steel sashes, alarms, lattice assemblies, push-button sash options, LED lighting, and roll-out base cabinets. With its accessible design and reliable airflow performance, the Eliminator 500 Series provides a safe and compliant solution for ADA-oriented lab environments.
